On Sunday, May 29, 2002 the Friendship Circle of Miami had an incredible evening recognizing the tremendous dedication and commitment of our amazing volunteers. The support of our teen volunteers is crucial to the success of the Friendship Circle. An evening celebrating friendship, and those who make it possible - a wonderful time was had by all!
Friendship Circle in Miami hosted its 13th Annual Walking 4 Friendship on Sunday, May 1, 2022. The 3K walk at Tropical Park's mission is to raise awareness for children and young adults with special needs. The nonprofit has “teamed up” with the University of Miami’s Athletic Department to bring the world-class educational and athletic institution’s “spirit” to its vibrant community event. A wonderful day was had by all participants, while raising funds and awareness for a tremendous communal cause.
The monumental groundbreaking of the Friendship Circle Campus took place on Sunday, December 5th 2021. The milestone was celebrated with a grand ceremony event at the 2.5-acre property, where more than 200 guests were in attendance. The organization’s members of children and their families gathered with supporters, philanthropists, business, and community leaders. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Commissioners Raquel Regalado and Danielle Cohen Higgins, along with Florida Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nunez, Florida House Representative Vance Aloupis, and Florida State Senator Ileana Garcia joined and spoke uplifting messages about the impact of the organization’s mission.
Friendship Circle Miami held its 3rd Annual Heart & Soul Gala on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Fairchild Botanical Gardens. The celebratory occasion, “An Enchanted Evening,” raised more than $230,000 to benefit the organization and its planned, 20,000-square-foot new Friendship Campus, that will be state-of-the-art with capabilities to serve thousands of individuals and families in its full vision. A distinguished presentation marked the introduction of Friendship Circle Miami’s “We All Belong” campaign, inspired to raise awareness for its mission to provide friendship, belonging, and a sense of community to children and young adults with special needs.
