Russell Eckert
Development Director

Russell is a native of South Florida, a community that he cares about deeply and dedicates himself to. A graduate of Florida State College of Law with an emphasis on corporate and constitutional law, he oversees all advocacy and corporate partnership initiatives. Before joining the Circle, Russell oversaw the growth and expansion of a nonprofit based in his hometown of Palm Beach. In his free time, he enjoys the company of his pup, exploring nature, and swimming.

Colaiv began working at Friendship Circle in July 2019 and brings many years of experience in supporting organizational growth and excellence. Colaiv grew up in London, England and after graduating High School, studied in Jerusalem and New York. While in London, he had the privilege to study with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe. Other than hanging out with movie stars, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family.

Amy Kalas
Music Therapist

Amy Kalas Buser, MM, MT-BC is a board-certified music therapist who's passionate about her work with children and teens with special needs. She received her bachelor's and master's degree from University of Miami and has research published in the Journal of Music Therapy. Amy served as Interim Professor of Music Therapy at University of Miami and has been working with Friendship Circle Miami since 2010. She loves using musical activities to work on goals like improving social communication skills, increasing attention, improving motor skills, and increasing opportunities for self expression.

Caryn Frishman
Art Director

Caryn Frishman is a local south Florida artist (wife, mom and teacher too) with a creative flare for color and artwork that makes you smile. She has been a strong community leader for years and loves to give back as well as help others. Her artwork has been shown in Art Miami Week (Spectrum Miami) and several galleries in south Florida. She can be seen at art festivals, craft bazaars, and fundraisers selling her one of a kind CFcreationsArt, or with her family.

Llewelyn Pearce
Music Director

After completing his musical studies in his native country of South Africa, Llewellyn Pearce toured internationally as a guitarist/sideman for 5 years before settling down in Miami. He’s been involved in managing bands, performance and music education over the last 20 years.
